Wimpy Dartford trades from the central High Street pedestrian zone, on the parade between the entrance to the Orchard shopping centre and the Market Place end of the town. Dartford is one of Wimpy's few remaining table-service branches in north Kent — the chain has slimmed back significantly in the south-east over the last decade — and the format retains the classic Wimpy proposition: counter-style burgers with British beef patties, chicken or fish alternatives, the long-running Bender hot dog, all-day breakfasts, hearty grill plates, Brown Derby and Knickerbocker Glory desserts and the thick milkshakes that originally made the chain its name. The shop opens earlier than the surrounding pubs and takeaways for the breakfast trade, which gives it a niche on the High Street as one of the few sit-down options for a cooked breakfast in town. Eat-in, takeaway and delivery are all supported via the chain's ordering app.
