Ocean City

Ocean City is the long-running Chinese takeaway at the lower end of East Hill in central Dartford, sat directly below the Pizza GoGo and Panorama Kebab cluster as the parade climbs up out of Hythe Street. The shop occupies the corner unit that earlier traded as Paul's Garden — both names appear in directory listings with the same number — and the long British-Cantonese menu is built around the usual appetisers, sweet-and-sour, kung po and curry-sauce sections, a long chow-mein-and-rice list, chef-special dishes and a strong set-menu range for two-to-four-person family orders. The shop sits a third of a mile from Dartford rail station, which gives it a useful commuter-collection trade on top of the local residential orders. Collection and short-radius delivery are both supported through the shop's own ordering site. The kitchen runs the standard evening-only Chinese-takeaway shift, with the East Hill position keeping the shop busy through the post-work window.
