Green Spice

Green Spice is the established Indian restaurant and takeaway on the Green Street Green Road stretch between Darenth and Green Street Green, set into the Green View Hotel building rather than the small parade of takeaways nearby. The kitchen has been trading under the Green Spice name in this area since the early 1990s, which makes it one of the longest-running Indian operations in eastern Dartford. The menu runs the standard tandoori, balti, special and house-favourites format you would expect of a curry house of that vintage, with the usual chef's-special and duck-dish slots that mark out a sit-down restaurant from a pure takeaway.

The shop trades through lunch and again from early evening, and uniquely for the area takes late-night orders into the early hours on weekends — useful given how few options on the Green Street Green Road parade keep going past 11pm. Delivery and collection are both offered, with Just Eat coverage across Darenth, Hawley, Sutton-at-Hone and the eastern Dartford fringe. The food gets the usual mixed-bag reviews any old-school curry house attracts, but the longevity at the same unit and the genuinely late closing hours are what set it apart from the newer competitors on the same road.
