128 Chinese trades from a parade on Crayford Road, the through-route that links central Dartford and Crayford and the main residential spine for the Crayford end of the borough. The shop replaced an earlier Chinese under the Peking Chef name and has since been refreshed as New 128 Chinese, but the menu remains a traditional British-Cantonese list of sweet-and-sour, satay, kung po, curry-sauce dishes, chop suey and a long set-dinner section aimed at two-to-four-person orders. Reviewer scores hover around the four-star mark on the major aggregators, with regular feedback singling out generous portion sizes and the chef's special sets. The Crayford Road parade gives the takeaway a useful captive trade from the surrounding terraces and from the Crayford Industrial Estate workers heading home in the evening. Cantonese-style cooking remains the focus rather than the chilli-heavy Sichuan dishes that have crept onto other Dartford menus.
