The Jasmine

The Jasmine — full trading name The Jasmine by Spice Nouv-Oh! — is the contemporary Indian and Indo-fusion restaurant on the Broadway in Bexleyheath, towards the eastern end of the long pedestrianised shopping street. Founded in 2015 by chef-owner Alim, it began life as a Spice Nouv-Oh! operation on Shooters Hill before settling into the Bexleyheath unit, and runs an Indo-fusion menu that takes the traditional Bangladeshi-British curry-house template and pulls it through with contemporary plating, smaller portions and a more modern presentation than most of the surrounding parade restaurants.

The shop has been recognised at borough level — most recently a Best Hospitality in Bexley Borough award — and runs both restaurant and takeaway, with vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free options flagged through the menu. Every dish is cooked to order with hand-selected spices rather than batch-prepared, which is the differentiator the kitchen leans on hardest in its own marketing and shows up clearly in the better reviews. A bespoke-style Indian restaurant pitched a notch above the standard Bexleyheath curry house.
