Lorimers Family Restaurant

Lorimers has served Inverness since 1994 from its Longman Road premises on the fringes of the city's industrial waterfront, close to where the River Ness opens into the Moray Firth. The restaurant is structured in three parts: a sit-in conservatory for cooked breakfasts and high teas, a fish-and-chip takeaway, and a sandwich counter. The Scottish haddock and chips — praised for a properly crunchy breadcrumb coating — is the signature dish, alongside Butch's Famous Steak and Ale Pie, which has its own loyal following. Freshly baked cakes, sandwiches, and full breakfasts span the day from morning. An independent family business, locally sourced, that has been feeding Inverness for over thirty years. One of the few genuine all-day family restaurants remaining in the city.
