Choy Fu on Long Chaulden is one of the few takeaways in the HP1 area to combine Chinese food and a proper fish-and-chip bar under one roof. The fish and chips are what most regulars mention first — firm fish in light golden batter with decent chips — though the Chinese menu is substantial, running to crispy duck, chicken curry, egg fried rice and a range of stir-fry dishes. Online ordering is available through the Choy Fu website with payment by card, cash or PayPal. Ranked on Tripadvisor among the broader Hemel Hempstead restaurant set, it serves a residential neighbourhood in the northern part of HP1 that lacks a great deal of takeaway choice.
