Popadoms has been a neighbourhood Indian restaurant on Medway Drive since 1996, operating away from the Farnborough town centre in a quieter residential location near junctions four and four-a of the M3. The restaurant is praised for home-cooked cuisine at exceptional value, with its own car park for visitors coming off the motorway or from the surrounding Cove and Southwood estates. The gurkha chicken — tikka cooked with onions and peppers in a medium Himalayan spice — and the chicken nashilla, flavoured with West Indian rum, coconut and almonds, stand out from the standard curry-house menu. Traditional korma, madras and dhansak are all available, alongside tandoori sizzlers and biryani. A quietly impressive local Indian that earns its reputation through cooking rather than location.
