Bombay Spice

Bombay Spice sits at the Forgan Roundabout in Newport-on-Tay — the junction at the southern end of the Tay Road Bridge where the A92 meets the routes out toward Tayport and west into Cupar — and trades primarily as a takeaway and delivery Indian rather than a sit-in restaurant. The menu runs a wide British-Indian template across tandoori dishes, balti, thali, traditional curries, korma, biryani and a substantial vegetable section. The roadside-junction location gives it a different catchment to the High Street Indian operators in the smaller Fife villages — passing trade off the main road as well as residential delivery into Newport, Wormit and out toward Tayport. It is one of the longer-running Indian options on the Fife side of the Tay estuary, and trades in the same delivery zone as the chip-shop and Chinese operators in central Newport and Tayport. Most of the trade is evening collection and delivery, with the standard late-afternoon-through-late-evening pattern of operators of this size.
