An Italian menu and a Scottish chip shop run side by side. The largest section is the fried board: haddock, king rib, smoked sausage, steak pie and a full parade of puddings, haggis, red, white, black, the Blaggis and the Ebony and Ivory, each offered as a single or a supper. Then the pizzas switch language entirely, twenty-six recipes across two sizes with Italian names doing real work, Scozzese, Prosciuttina, Boscaiola, Campagnola, Contadina, Cipolla, Diavola and Nettuno. Pasta is a genuine choice rather than a token, with Carbonara, Amatriciana, Porcini, Piccante and Prosciutto each cooked with penne or spaghetti. The two halves meet in the calzone list, where a Haggis Calzone sits beside the donner and spicy chicken versions. Elsewhere there are pakora, baked potatoes with six fillings, omelettes, kebabs on pitta or naan, and salads. Few kitchens attempt both traditions this seriously.
