Mobeen is a Pakistani restaurant and takeaway on Ilford Lane, part of the dense South Asian dining strip running south through the Loxford ward into one of outer east London's most concentrated Pakistani communities. The menu covers the Punjabi and Lahori staples the Lane is known for: nihari — the slow-braised bone-in meat stew traditionally served for breakfast but available throughout the day — haleem, biryani, and karahi alongside grilled tikka and seekh kebab starters. The cooking is home-style in character, targeting the large Pakistani community in the surrounding streets who want the flavours of Lahore rather than a westernised curry-house version.
