Little India on Goodmayes Road served the South Asian community in the residential streets between Seven Kings and Goodmayes, offering accessible subcontinental cooking — curries, tandoori grills and rice dishes — at neighbourhood prices. The Goodmayes Road strip runs parallel to but well away from the High Road fast-food concentration, and Little India drew its regulars from the surrounding Pakistani and Bangladeshi community who valued the neighbourhood atmosphere over the pace of the main strip.
