About London
Aldgate was the eastern most gateway through London Wall leading from the City of London to Whitechapel and the east end of London. It includes Leadenhall and Fenchurch Street, which are main thoroughfares through the City of London branching from the street named Aldgate that connects to Aldgate High Street and which has only two addresses, Sir John Cass school, where there is a plaque for the old London Wall and the insurance comany AXA UK.
