Mae and Harvey

Mae + Harvey is a beloved all-day neighbourhood cafe on Roman Road in Bow, one of the most consistently praised cafes on what has become a thriving independent high street. Named in Time Out's Best Brunches in London, the cafe has built a devoted local following over nine years for its excellent coffee, generously filled sandwiches and welcoming community atmosphere. The same team behind Mae + Harvey recently opened Stepney's Cafe at Stepney City Farm (E1 3DH), bringing their philosophy of good honest food to a second East London location.

The menu covers specialty coffee and hot drinks, freshly baked goods, and a selection of all-day breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes. The legendary chicken sarnie -- praised repeatedly in reviews as one of the best sandwiches in East London -- is the standout dish, but every item on the menu reflects the same care and quality.
