Soul Mama

Soul Mama is one of the most anticipated and celebrated restaurant openings of 2024 in East London -- an immersive African, Caribbean and South American dining and live music experience on the ground floor of The Gantry by Hilton hotel at East Village, Stratford. Founded by acclaimed musician, broadcaster and author YolanDa Brown OBE DL and music manager Adetokunbo "T" Oyelola, Soul Mama made history through a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, becoming a Guinness World Record holder as the largest amount ever raised by a restaurant on the platform globally. The restaurant features a double-height space with floor-to-ceiling windows, a large stage, and seating mixing tall and restaurant-style tables around a rum cocktail bar. Executive Chef Aleandro Brown, whose passion for cooking was cultivated in Jamaica and honed at The Ritz and Gordon Ramsay establishments, leads a kitchen that blends the vibrant culinary traditions of Africa, the Caribbean and South America.
