Bistrotheque

Bistrotheque is one of the defining restaurants of the Bethnal Green food scene and a true East London institution, having opened in 2004 in a converted Victorian warehouse on the quiet and atmospheric Wadeson Street. What began as a pioneering neighbourhood restaurant in an area long before Bethnal Green became fashionable has evolved into one of London's most beloved dining and entertainment destinations, equally famous for its modern European cooking and its theatrical drag cabaret performances in The Cockatoo downstairs.

The restaurant serves a menu of oysters, steak tartare, crab benedict and other modern European brasserie classics, with breakfast and brunch at weekends drawing a devoted loyal crowd for the legendary Bloody Marys and pancake stacks. Saturday brunch drag events are among the most popular ticketed dining experiences in East London. Open Wednesday to Sunday for dinner; brunch served at weekends.
