About Dialogue Cafe

Dialogue Cafe is a unique and award-winning café inside the Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability in North Woolwich -- a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to fostering social inclusion and change, and one of the most distinctive café experiences in East London. The café is staffed by Deaf and hard-of-hearing baristas, and customers are actively encouraged to order using British Sign Language (BSL). For those who don't know BSL, an interactive screen shows how to sign your order -- making every visit an opportunity to learn a little of the language that the baristas use every day. The Royal Docks authority specifically highlights it as one of the neighbourhood's most special café destinations.

The menu features hand-roasted Union Coffee alongside light bites, pastries and snacks. The Dialogue Hub is also home to an art exhibition space and a unique immersive experience in complete darkness guided by blind tour guides. An extraordinary and community-minded café that rewards a visit for its values as much as its coffee. Open Tuesday to Sunday during daytime hours.
