Xi Home Dumplings

Xi Home Dumplings is a specialist Chinese dumpling restaurant in the Norton Folgate development on the Spitalfields-Shoreditch border, part of the growing cluster of acclaimed restaurants that includes Osteria Angelina, Kolamba East and Noisy Oyster -- all opposite Shoreditch High Street station. Xi specialises in handmade dumplings from the Xi'an and wider northern Chinese tradition, bringing one of China's great culinary traditions to East London in a casual, welcoming setting.

The menu centres on a rotating selection of freshly made dumplings in various styles: steamed, pan-fried (potstickers), boiled and in soup. Fillings range from pork and ginger to prawn and chive, lamb and cumin (a Xi'an speciality), and mushroom and tofu for vegetarians. Alongside dumplings the kitchen serves hand-pulled noodles, cold appetisers and house-made sauces.
