Crispin

Crispin is a celebrated all-day restaurant, wine bar and natural wine bottle shop in Spitalfields, housed in a striking glass and zinc pavilion on White's Row with a light-filled dining room and intimate outdoor terrace. Part of the HAM Restaurants group (also behind Bistro Freddie and Canal), Crispin opened in 2018 and quickly established itself as one of the best casual dining destinations in East London, with chef Lewis de Haas taking charge of the kitchen in 2021 and cementing its reputation for produce-driven European sharing plates.

The menu is seasonal and changes regularly, focusing on locally and sustainably sourced ingredients from independent growers and small-scale farms. Natural wine is at the heart of the operation, with a curated list by Head of Wine Alexandra Price focusing on low-intervention wines using indigenous and rare grape varieties -- also available to buy from the bottle shop. The restaurant seats 40 inside and 20 on the terrace, and can accommodate up to 100 guests standing for private hire. Open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner; closed Sunday.
