Absurd Bird Spitalfields

Absurd Bird is a Southern fried chicken and craft cocktail restaurant on Commercial Street in Spitalfields, East London, part of a small group of London restaurants celebrating the flavours and spirit of the American South. The Spitalfields branch occupies a lively, atmospheric space decorated with vintage Americana and neon signs, making it a popular evening destination for the Shoreditch and City fringe crowd.

The menu centres on buttermilk-marinated fried chicken served whole, in pieces, in burgers or in loaded waffles, alongside Southern sides such as mac and cheese, slaw, dirty fries and cornbread.
