The Bearsden Fryer Takeaway Menu

Every fried item here is listed twice, once as a single and once as a supper with chips, which is how fifteen actual products become a thirty-row main section. Those fifteen are a fair summary of a west of Scotland fryer: haggis, black pudding, smoked sausage, king rib, mince pie, beef chilli, mac and cheese, a kebab burger, a hamburger, and cod counted as one fish or two. Chips get their own page, with gravy, curry sauce, cheese or spiced onion, or folded into a roll, and there is a fritter roll for good measure. Two dishes are made in house rather than bought in, a steak pie and a lasagne, each served plain or with chips. Pizzas run to five recipes in ten and twelve inches, and the Specials cover Chippy Boxes with gravy or curry sauce, a twelve-inch version, and a chicken tikka wrap with peppers and onions. Pakoras and mozzarella sticks head the appetisers.
