Rainbow Pizza

Rainbow Pizza sits on West Street in the centre of Swadlincote, the short parade that runs off the Civic Way end of town near the Pipeworks shopping centre. It has been trading as an independent pizza-and-takeaway operator since at least 2017, when Rainbow Pizza Swadlincote Ltd was incorporated, and runs as a delivery-and-collection shop covering Swad and the immediately surrounding villages.

The menu runs across a wide pizza list — Margherita and the classics, a house Rainbow Special and a Tandoori Hot for the spicier order — alongside burgers, doner and shish kebabs, southern-fried chicken, naan wraps and a kids' meal-deal section. Pizzas come in three sizes, and the kitchen makes its own dough fresh daily. Reviews on the shop's own site and the aggregator listings (4.2 from 84 reviews on the recent count) call out a balanced topping ratio and a dough that doesn't go greasy.

The shop runs every evening from four until eleven, with no sit-in seating. For households on the West Street and Civic Way side of town it sits closer than the parade further out toward Newhall — easier walk-in collection from the town flats and the houses above Coppice Side.
