Pizza Bella

Pizza Bella trades from the central stretch of Bath Street, the pedestrianised shopping street that runs through the heart of Ilkeston between the Market Place and the lower end towards Pimlico. It is one of the more established independent pizza and kebab shops in the town centre, and one of the few that opens through the middle of the day rather than only for the evening trade.

The menu is the wide-front Ilkeston independent template — stone-baked pizzas in three sizes, donner and shish kebabs, burgers, southern-fried chicken, wraps, calzones and a long sides list — but Pizza Bella has built a steady following on Uber Eats and through its own website by being quick on collection orders and consistent with the pizza bases. Meal deals and family bundles do most of the volume; the calzones get reliable mentions in the Yell and Uber Eats reviews. There is no claim to artisan finesse; this is a working town-centre takeaway aimed at shoppers, office workers and the early evening family trade.

Hours run from midday through to late evening, seven days a week, and the kitchen takes orders for collection as well as delivery across central Ilkeston, Cotmanhay, Kirk Hallam and the immediate residential streets either side of the Market Place.
