Taste of Bombay

Taste of Bombay is the Indian takeaway on Tibshelf's High Street, a few doors down from the village's Crystal House Chinese. The kitchen takes the same north-Indian/Nepalese line you see across this stretch of the East Midlands — chicken tikka and onion bhaji starters, the full curry house run from korma through bhuna and madras to phall, a tandoori-grill section, decent vegetable sides, and the usual pilau rice and peshwari, garlic and plain naan choices.

It trades evenings only, opening through to 22:30 every day of the week, and is set up for both Uber Eats delivery across Tibshelf and collection from the High Street counter. The shop is a useful counterpart to the Chinese-led options on the same stretch, and gives villagers a serious Indian-curry option without having to drive down to Alfreton. It draws on the Tibshelf working-week households as well as the Saturday-night family-meal trade.
