Delhi Nights

Delhi Nights is the established Indian restaurant on The Common in South Normanton, the larger A38 settlement opposite Junction 28 of the M1. It sits a notch above the area's typical takeaway-led trade, working as a proper sit-down restaurant with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free sections clearly marked on the menu and a wine list that takes the room a little closer to a destination night out than a casual curry collection.

The kitchen is built around tandoor specialities — lamb chops marinated in chilli and ginger, salmon cooked in the clay oven, a generous mixed grill of chicken and king prawn — alongside the familiar jalfrezi, rogan josh and bhuna rundown, paired with pilau rice and the usual run of plain, peshwari and garlic naans.
