Roxy Shop

The Roxy Shop on Watling Street is the village sandwich shop, traditional pie bakery and cake counter in Leadgate east of Consett — operated by Castle Eden Catering Ltd, the shop is a daytime local favourite with reviewer praise for the array of sandwiches, the traditional pies and the staff. The Food Standards Agency's July 2025 inspection scored 5 ("Very Good"), the top grading.
