Chesham's well-regarded Indian restaurant on Broad Street — formerly Papad — reopened in late 2025 after a full refurbishment under the name Tarka. The kitchen retained its ethos of fresh, regionally inspired Indian cooking: aromatic curries built from whole spices, dishes such as monkfish curry, chicken balti and lamb korai appearing in early Tarka reviews alongside the lighter street-food plates that made the original Papad popular. The revamped dining room offers free off-street parking and takes bookings for both lunch and dinner.
