Akash on North Street in Leighton Buzzard traded as an Indian restaurant and takeaway in the town's main commercial corridor for many years. The kitchen covered a wide subcontinental menu: tandoori dishes, chef's recommendations, traditional curries, balti, seafood, duck, biryani and vegetable dishes. TripAdvisor reviews praised it as one of the best Indian restaurants in Leighton Buzzard and Linslade with great food, spices, fair prices and excellent service. The North Street address sits in the commercial core close to the Grand Union Canal waterfront that gives the town its character. The restaurant has since rebranded under new management as The Lime Tree, which continues to trade at the same address.
