Francos

Francos on Gallowgate Street in Largs is a pizza and Italian-style takeaway at the end of the town's main commercial strip. Gallowgate Street is the inland continuation of the Largs shopping area, running away from the Firth of Clyde seafront towards the town's residential districts. As one of several takeaways on this street — alongside Curry King and The Viking — Francos provides the Italian-style pizza option in a cluster that between them covers Indian, Chinese and chip-shop fare. Largs is best known for the 1263 Battle of Largs, the Vikingar! visitor centre commemorating the Norse connection, and Nardini's, the celebrated Art Deco ice-cream parlour that has been drawing visitors to the seafront since 1935.
