Yang Sing

Yang Sing is a long-running Chinese takeaway on Reform Street, the short side street running off Monifieth's central High Street parade. It is a collection-and-delivery operation rather than a sit-in restaurant. The menu is a fairly classic British-Cantonese list, with sweet-and-sour chicken balls and honey chilli chicken turning up repeatedly in customer reviews as the dishes the regulars go back for. Yang Sing runs a Tuesday closed day, which is fairly standard for independent Chinese operators in this part of Tayside, and trades the typical evening-only pattern through the rest of the week. It sits round the corner from Fisheracre Chipper at 9a Reform Street and within a short walk of Gul Anar Jaha and Yummy Express on the main High Street, which gives the immediate parade a fairly broad mix of takeaway cuisines for a town of Monifieth's size. Most of its trade is residential delivery into the surrounding streets and walk-in collection from the Reform Street/High Street junction.
