Kinloch Arms

The Kinloch Arms Hotel sits at the eastern end of Carnoustie's High Street, a well-established hotel-and-pub with seven en-suite letting rooms above a public bar, a sunny beer garden and a private car park. The dining operation is split between the bar and No.29 Bar and Kitchen, a conversion of the original lounge area that opened in recent years and seats 62 covers plus a small settee section, set up as a slightly smarter sit-in dining room serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Carnoustie is best known for its Open Championship golf course at the south end of the town, and the Kinloch Arms is one of the established hotel-restaurant options for visitors to the course as well as a regular pub stop for High Street trade. The hotel was reported in summer 2025 to be moving into new ownership under a Dundee bar operator, with stated plans to streamline the menu, retain the kitchen team, add a seven-day breakfast and run weekend live music.
